Westminster Orchard Festival
Tuesday, October 11th, 2011We did out LAST outdoor show of the season on the arrival of the FIRST winter storm of the season. W knew we were in trouble when the sleet turned to snow as we approached the I-25. We followed a big rig over Monument Hill, in deep blowing snow, in the predawn hours on Saturday. If that truck drove into a ditch, we were going with him because you couldn’t see the lines on the road. He deserves one big hug from us because he got us through. Once we got to about Littleton the snow turned to rain. When we arrived in Westminster to hot coffee and warm hospitality. The city officials and the members of the South Westminster Arts Group were absolutely wonderful people. We had so much fun with them! After being outside for a few hours Erica and I resorted to dancing to the band that was playing to stay warm. Even though the weather was miserable, we had so much fun! We laughed a lot and made some great friends. I’ll definitely be back for their show in June!
